Ronan awoke sprawled out on the forest floor, curiously not in his wolf form that he would have usually stayed in if he was sleeping in the elements. He sat up and his whole body ached, he was covered in scratches and couldn't remember a thing about why. He stood and stumbled to a small stream, falling to his knees and dunking his head in the cool water to shock himself awake. Flipping his hair back out of his face and looked at his reflection for a moment. There was a large bruise on his forehead, which would explain the killer migraine, however that isn't what his eyes focused on. He stared at the dark circles around his eyes, his sunken in cheeks. He was a shadow, although he'd come a long way he couldn't remember the last time that he'd held his own money in his hands. Sure it was from humans, but he felt that even they were better than him at this point. At least they helped each other, worked for what they had, who was he to take that from them? Before he became too lost in his own self pity, Ronan dunked his head once more, screaming under the water to clear his head. He needed to focus today. Turning around he was able to piece together what had happened quite well. His bag lay just a few feet away from where he had apparently landed. There was a hill with a clear path of chaos where he had apparently decided to roll down it. Grunting as he stood, his knees creaking, the lycian walk slowly up the hill. Other pairs of footprints had been following him until he hit the crest of the hill, but they stopped there and turned back, not bothering to follow him down the hill and into the treeline. Maybe they had thought the fall killed him? Though he doubted no matter how dramatically he had tripped they would just leave him with his and their belongings. Why here?, Ronan tried to shrug it off and just walked back to his bag, looking in it he found that he'd nearly killed himself for $20 and a loaf of bread. Seriously?, sighing, he tore off a chunk for breakfast. That's what he called it anyway, in all reality it was probably closer to lunch time.
Little did he know, the reason the couple hadn't followed him down the hill was because of a superstition about what lay beyond that point. Figuring that the man would be dead by morning, they left him there, as grabbing their things was too much of a risk. Disoriented, Ronan hadn't realized he had crossed a border, and sat at the bottom of the hill happily scarfing down the bread.

SEARCHING IN THE DARKNESS WE ARE CREATURES OF THE NIGHT RUNNING FROM THE DAY
Zedekiah had been up before dawn, the animal stirred and drew him from the his bed and into the depths of the forest. It was still dark only slivers of light had entered the sky when he trotted along the leaf scattered ground... Crunch, crunch.. The sound sent shivers of excitement down the male wolf's spine..
The first part of the day he spent it in solitude but as the sun rose higher and reached its peak he turned towards the boarder as he usually did around noon. This seemed to be a routine of his; wake before dawn, walk in the silence the forest offers before dawn, turn to the boarder and patrol, go home and repeat... It was an endless loop it seemed. His mind was now focused on getting to the boarder, he didn't think he'd fine anyone but it would put his mind at ease regardless.. He didn't want humans to snoop around..
Grinning at the thought he scoffed, his lands were feared by them and rarely did one venture to far. For a moment he paused.. he felt like howling, throwing back his head he sounded a howl deep in his throat. The howl began deep but smoothed into more of a musical tune. He howled to the sky as thanks but also a warning... This land was to be left alone..

Well that was a noise he didn't hear too often, not that far away either. Ronan looked down at himself, his old sweatshirt covered in bread crumbs, jeans riddled with holes. Only thing he'd be accepted into looking like he did was a soup kitchen, let alone a pack. So he quickly stripped down and began his transformation. Wincing as bones shifted and ground together, though more at the memory of how much it used to hurt. By now it was a daily occurrence so he had pretty well gotten used to it. Realizing he had forgotten to put his clothes in his bag, he struggled with that for a moment. Drawstrings were a lifesaver. Thankfully the dirt and twigs that had been collected on his human form didn't follow to this form, whoever saw him later could deal with the disappointment that was that half of him. For now his red pelt was sleek and healthy, and his eyes sharp and alert. Thinking for a moment of how to reply to the howl, he drew in a breath and threw his head back to reply. It carried the message, "I am here, and I wish to speak." after howling he picked up his bag in his teeth and moved back across the border, he'd done enough trespassing today.

SEARCHING IN THE DARKNESS WE ARE CREATURES OF THE NIGHT RUNNING FROM THE DAY
The howl answering his cut him short and his eyes widened in surprise. Shock washed over him and made him quiver with excitement, the howl sounded close to the border and it was not one that he knew. Waving his tail side to side he began to take off towards the border, throwing his head back as he sounded another howl that answered the male's.
"Remain where you are, I am coming.." the howl said. Excitement clung to every step he took, he wanted to continue to romp around but he kept his mind focused. The soft thudding under paw was like music to his ears, it was another sound the forest offered up.. The soft 'thump, thump, thump.' as one's paws came into contact with the ground or it could be an even quieter sound.. But to him, it was a noise of freedom.
As he neared the border he slowed down and pinned his ears back as his tongue lolled out of his mouth. Sharp canines glistening as his brown gaze looked around. He could smell the other, it certainly was a lycan.. A male, he grinned. Would this Lycan possibly wish to join? SHaking his head he chided himself, saying 'Don't be ridiculous, not everyone will wish to join.. but perhaps he will wish to make an alliance?'.
Onwards he pushed until the other came into site. Fluffing up his reddish coat he moved closer before he spoke. "Greetings Stranger."

Ronan sat and anxiously waited for a reply. If he was accepted this would be the start of a new chapter in his life, if not.. well he'd probably just have to keep searching. There was no way he could keep moving around, karma would catch up with him eventually and he'd probably end up in someone's trunk. No he needed to settle down, he needed to do this today while he had the chance. He immediately jumped up after hearing the other male's howl, running around in circles and trying not to yip like a pup. This only lasted for a few moments before he sat back down, trying to look as professional as possible and control the vigorous waving of his tail. He settled for wrapping it around close to his leg, though he couldn't stop shifting his weight from paw to paw as he waiting for the stranger to appear. He hadn't been in touch with his own kind for a few months, though he sometimes managed to find loners and little fringe families here and there. A sound managed to penetrate his thoughts, a soft crunching of leaves. Ears perking up, Ronan immediately turned towards the sound and saw a red pelt emerge from the wilderness. The stranger seemed welcoming, there was no aggression in his voice and Ronan was definitely thankful for that. Although it seemed he was nearly a foot taller than the other male, the lycan had to have at least a hundred pounds on him. He tried to keep it off of his face but his jaw slacked a little as he admired the male's frame. So in awe, in fact, he nearly forgot to reply. "Oh! Um, yes..", he cleared his throat a little, "Hello.". Pausing for a moment to try and recover from what he figured had been the most awkward start to a conversation in nearly a century, he smiled a rather toothy grin and continued. "My apologies, I'm Ronan, Ronan Vox. I wish to join, assuming this is pack lands anyway, and that you'll have me."

SEARCHING IN THE DARKNESS WE ARE CREATURES OF THE NIGHT RUNNING FROM THE DAY The male's gaze sparked with slight amusement as he watched the other. This was going to be interesting, rolling his shoulders back he moved to sit down as he listened closely, his ears perked forwards as he took in each word that the other was speaking and he couldn't help but smile at the other's, what seemed like, nervousness.
When Ron had finished speaking, he dipped his head respectfully and opened his maw to speak.
"Do not apologize and do not feel nervous, my friend" the brute started as he got to his feet and stuck one paw out and bent into a slight bow before straightening his posture and staring at the male before continuing. "My name is Zedekiah Lee and I am the Leader of the pack here." he said nodding his head towards the territory behind him. "It would be an honor to have you join our ranks" the replied softly as he stretched out his nose to sniff the male. "Although I do not require one to answer many questions on the spot, I will ask this one thing as I do with all the others that wish to join us.. Are you willing to give up living among the humans? Yes you are allowed to mingle with them but it will be harder to mask your true form. Here..." he paused and nodded behind him. "we can offer safety and shelter to you as the humans fear these parts but out there..." he said solemnly, "I cannot give you a for sure answer that you will always be protected." his gaze seemed to sadden as he spoke, "I certainly will try my best as protecting my companions is my will and goal but humans do as they please without regard to us."

Being new to the formality and respect that Zedekiah was showing him, Ronan clumsily returned a bow of his own. He wasn't sure how he felt about the current situation. Everything the other did made him feel a bit more out of place, but he was sure that given time he would adapt to it. There was something in the way that the other spoke, a certain grace, an elegance. It calmed him some, and made him more sure of his choice to stay. Ronan's green eyes shifted away when the other stretched forward to smell him, finding it a bit odd at the time, but he stood his ground and listened to him intently. The tall red coated male was overjoyed at the fact that there would be no immediate questions, as he wasn't sure if he could handle many at the present. Giving up living among the humans, he was pretty well sick of the humans. Them and their filth. Without regard for us, wasn't that the truth. Ronan had seen families uprooted before, harassed to the point they were afraid to leave their house. "Yeah, they seem to have a habit of that." he scoffed. "I'd be more than happy to play my part here." he lifted a paw and tossed his head a bit to the side as he spoke, "What're those pesky things good for anyway." He spoke of them as if the were a minor inconvenience, dismissing them like they were a cockroach problem instead of the bees that they were. Ronan wished no harm to humans, they were quite good for business, but they were paranoid creatures. He didn't need the threat of being stung just hanging over his head.

A great weight looked as if it had lifted off of the male's shoulders and he relaxed instantly. "Wonderful!" his eyes sparked with excitement and he pounced back a few paces a bit playfully. " before straightening his posture once more, almost as if he were slightly embarrassed over his pup-like actions and flicked an ear. Clearing his throat he moved on to speak "Then Ronan Vox, I hereby accept you as a Kynigos of the pack.. Our overseer is Adonis." Zedekiah said gently before looking around.
"We have housing here in pack lands, many available for grabs." his tail swayed side to side and he tipped his head to the left. "If you have items you wish to bring with you I can help you move the-" he paused."that is if you wish to come and stay in pack lands" he quickly said

Ronan immediately jumped to his feet, bouncing happily from one paw to the other. He made sure to commit the name to his memory, should he ever meet this "Adonis" he wouldn't want to start off on the wrong foot. He didn't need to think much about housing, most of what he owned was in the bag beside him. "I'd love to stay, rather new to the area... not really settled in yet." he scooted his belongings a bit closer to him with a slender white paw. He always traveled light, there were maybe two different outfits, a couple of water bottles, and a few basic hygiene products that he kept on him. This was it, the housing thing was definitely lucky for him. It would save him the trouble of finding shelter in the city until he landed an actual job. He could always start contracting again, doing odd jobs here and there, but he wanted to try and do things right this time. less illegal, less risky. He didn't want to draw attention to the people here.
