The Species:
Here on Celestial Noctis we offer two kinds of species besides Humans; Lycans and Nekomatas.

History:
Lycans can be dated back to 1511, 500 years ago today.. It all started when a wolf demon had plans to populate the Earth with a new kind of species.
The species began with a Wolf Demon and a human that he impregnated. Here most would say the demon had defied that of his nature and fell in love with a human but that wasn't the case here. The demon had evil intentions, he knew that some humans could have dark hearts and that combined with a demon could give life to a new breed. His intentions were to take the world over, to make it known that humans would eventually be taken over.
The human female that he had impregnated was kept in a dark cell to keep her 'safe' and keep her from harming the child that grew inside her. Of course, after the baby, or babies, was born the human female's life would be obsolete and she would be disposed of so the child would grow up without the 'love of a mother' and have a dark heart such as his demon father.
Thus the Lycan species was born. Half demon, half human.. A human given the ability to phase into that of a wolf.
About the species:
Lycans, or were-wolves, are a species of demon crossed with a human. Granted the to ability to change their form into a wolf, a lycan is viewed as a threat and a terror to the human race. A lycan has the power to control when he/she changes but when angered, along with the full or new moon, the changing process becomes quicker.
About the transformation:
The process of changing from human to wolf can be a painful experience the first few times it occur but can and will become easier and smoother as time goes on. In human form Lycans lose their ears and tail and take on the appearance of a normal human being where as the Nekomata keeps their ears and tail in human form.

But the real story is only talked about with in the confides of the tribe. A Goddess of cats, a beautiful woman, had granted the wish of a few select people and gave them the ability to phase into a cat and those who were gifted the ability married each other and gave birth to children and the new generation of Nekomatas were born with cat ears and tails and thus the Nekos were born and thrive today in the safety of the trees, away from humans.

The Nekomatas are a peaceful creature that prefer to stay out of conflict. They were given the ability to change into a domestic breed of cat by a beautiful Goddess. The children after those who were granted their wish began to have cat ears and tails in their human form making their species a bit more noticeable then the Lycans. At first they tried to co-exist with the humans but found it hard to keep their cat ears and tails hidden from human eye and some even became frustrated and wanted to be able to show who they were and live their lives without being discriminated against and eventually moved away from the humans to live in a community out in the woods.
Each Neko is able to phase into a cat but unlike the Lycans transformation theirs is an easy process and isn't painful from the start.

Soulless Guardian:
History:
In the beginning of the human race. A hatred broke up between the King of Olympus and the Sun God, Zeus and Apollo. Zeus thought his humans were the most amazing creation but Apollo wanted to outdo him. Zeus stating that his humans were perfect in every way, although Apollo thought differently. Apollo wanted to show Zeus just how flawed the humans were. So he built a better, stronger, faster race. A pure race, the Apolites, with the help of a nymph whom birthed it. Soon tragedy struck when Apollo fell in love with a woman and the nymph that had given birth to his race became jealous. The nymph sent assassins to kill the woman, telling them to make it look like an animal had done such a thing. Once Apollo had found out, he cursed everyone of them to die at the age of 27, the age his beloved was when she was murdered.
Apollo's sister, Artemis, heard of this news and despised him for it. As some of the new race that Apollo had created where turning rogue on their 27th birthdays and killing humans for their souls. Killing a human for their soul would aid in the Apolite from dying. Although one they had done such an act they would be given a new name, damen. Damens have pointed fangs and super charged senses this includes hears, sight, and smell. These are what the Soulless Guardians defend the human race against. Plus any other thing that goes bump in the night. How to tell the difference between a normal Apolite and a Damen is by the capsule on their chest. This capsule captures the soul of the recently killed human.
Soulless Guardians are created from being murdered in cold blood. An unjustifiable death. When the human dies its soul makes a scream so loud through the halls of Olympus that Artemis hears it and appears to make a deal with the being. Her deal consist of One Act of Vengeance for an Eternity of Servitude in the aid of fighting off the rogue Apolites. Should a being accept her offer she takes the soul and places it within a stone for safe keeping in her temple. Wherever she has touched the being to take the soul a mark is left. Soulless Guardians are well taken care of, getting paid in gold and gems from the Goddess. Also, since Damen have heightened senses, Artemis only thought it fair to give the same powers to the Guardians. Pointed fangs and all, but they can’t go out during the day. Just as the damens can’t.
Since Guardians are dead and then brought back to fight, they are sterile. Meaning they can’t have children. Guardians are made, not born. They also date back to the earliest human civilizations. Some Guardians are centuries old, but they keep their birthdays changed to however old they wish to be on their ID cards. Also, Guardians can carry no disease. They can also heal quickly, a cut may heal within an hour or two but a deeper gash or anything major will take a few days to heal. Guardians eat only to blend in, they don’t need food like humans.
Mages
Before they became Mages and before they studied a deeper version of the elements they were known as Witches. A species of people who were given divine powers by the Goddess Nyx, also known as the Night Goddess. Before they began calling themselves Mages, the Witches lived horrible, pitious, lives that condemned most of them to death and though some may have deserved a death at the stake others only wanted to live their lives peacefully and raise their families just like any other human, they believed that they should have rights to do so and because of this thought the Witches left their villages in the dead of night and traveled far from where any 'human' eye could see them and created a community where they could practice their beliefs safely as well as raise and protect the families that they held dear.
The idea of 'safety' and 'peace' got to their heads as generations moved on and although the stories of their ancestors lives were past down and each generation warned about the dangers of the world out sound their walls there were those who wanted something more and soon opened their gates and sent word that they could heal any and all ailments. Soon, people from villages all around began to bring their sick to the community in hopes that the rumors were true and despite that some were healing the sick was not in the minds of these young men and women. 'Handful' by 'handful' people were lured in and never heard from again and it was unclear to those that they left behind where they had gone and soon many people had disappeared.
Because of the many disappearances and with them happening so soon after the gates opened and happening to close the heads in the villages began to put two and two together and rallied up men from all around to burn down the homes of the witches and kill them all before anymore families; husbands, mothers, daughters or sons disappeared and so they did and few escaped and fewer lived.
After that night it was believed that the witches had perished and they would no longer have to deal with the vermin that they were and it was after that night that those few who escaped and lived vowed to not reveal themselves or their powers to others and as time went on they began to studied a deeper part of the elements and soon were not even classified as a Witch. They were able to wield certain kinds of elements such as; Fire, Ice and Shock as well as summon creatures and heal themselves as well as others without the use of herbs, though they still studied the uses of plants and where to find them.
Recalling their past and how hated they were they came up with a new name 'Mages' and where some decided it was best to stay away from people others migrated closer.
