Tagged @name | 875 words | Speaking - Thinking It had been a couple of days since Adonis was accepted into his new pack. He was given the rank of Overseer. The second commanding rank in the pack, it was an honor. He definitely didn’t expect to have that rank, but nonetheless was he grateful. Dawn was approaching the sky as the sun was waking. He had gotten in from his job around 2:30 am that morning. Normally he would sleep until late into the day, but for some reason, he was unable to find a comfortable position to sleep in all night. The wolf in him tossed and turned, it was restless. He knew what he needed to do. So getting out of bed Adonis put on a pair of shorts and a t-shirt. He slipped on a pair of sneakers before walking out of his apartment and out to the woods. Making sure no one else could see him from the road he quickly stripped of his clothes and placed them in a bag he had brought with them. Once he rid himself of the clothes he shifted. His black pelt riddled with streaks of bleached fur that was brown.
Picking up the bag he placed it in a safe spot for when he came back to shift again. Adonis bounded away from the small clearing and headed to explore the new lands. For a while he ran, getting out all the pent up energy out of his body. It felt good to run in this form, he loved it. Now his transformation didn’t hurt as much, the more he began to shift the less it hurt him. Panting now he slowed up, hearing a small stream he trotted towards it and stopped to get a drink. Adonis’s stomach growled as hungry struck him. Opening his jaws he began to breath to try and catch the scent of prey. It wasn’t long until he caught the scent of a rabbit. Instinctively he crouched, looking around he found what his meal looked like. A small brown rabbit that was chewing on some greenery. Adonis made sure to stay down wind so the rabbit wouldn’t smell him. Creeping forward he waited until he was certain that the rabbit wasn’t paying attention. Now! he thought to himself. Gathering all his energy into his back legs he sprang forwards and easily caught the rabbit between his front paws. Wrapping his jaws around the small animal's neck he finished it off quickly.
Adonis found a shade tree to enjoy his breakfast under. Licking his lips he did he best to get rid of the blood that semi stained his maw. Now with a full belly and more energy to spare he moved along. Not knowing where he was actually headed he trekked along in solitude. Listening to the woods around him as birds sang and prey scattered as they saw him coming. Adonis also kept his eyes open to watch for others that might trespass and to burn the scenery into his mind. Sniffing he learned the smells of the forest as well. Before too much longer the day and turned into night and the moon was full while stars glittered across the night sky. He hadn’t thought he’d be out all day. Then again it beat being cramped up in his apartment all day.
Now the forest was quiet as the other animals all retired for the night. The birds quit singing and the owls now began to hoot in the trees. Adonis had been looking at the treetops until a light caught his eyes. Tilting his head to the side in wonderment he slowly stalked forwards to the multicolored lights. Why are people this far out into the woods he questioned himself. It wasn’t long until Adonis was at the treeline of the woods and what he saw made his maw open in amazement. "Wow”,he spoke aloud. It was a river that glowed with fluorescent colors as it flowed down a small waterfall and down its riverbed. Pinks, blues, and purples were just some of the colors that mixed and mingled together. Adonis had never seen anything like it before. Moving to the edge of the river he sat down and placed a paw into the colored water. It didn’t burn or stick to his coat. He was thirsty but Adonis wasn’t sure he should drink this water, he thought it contaminated since it glowed so brightly. A movement from the other side of the river caught his eyes, it was a deer. He watched it as he bent down and took a drink of the water. More showed up to do the same. One caught the sight of him and bounded away and the others soon followed as they were warned. Standing up he looked back to the river, he bent down and sniffed of the waters. The water smelt fine and with a quick lap of it he waited for him to either fall over dead or mutate. Nothing happened and the water tastes amazing. Satisfied he sat back down and watched the river for a while.

SEARCHING IN THE DARKNESS WE ARE CREATURES OF THE NIGHT RUNNING FROM THE DAY
Jeremy had started out early in the day. Even though he loved to be around others he still felt that he needed to be alone sometimes, he felt that strange pull.. Walking was something that always cleared his mind, always made him feel safe -why? he wasn't sure exactly it just did.. As a child he always wondered off by himself and he never seemed to grow out of it.
Before he set out he hid his ears and tail expertly, not even having to use a hat of any kind. Smiling at his skill in doing so he turned but then frowned.. He had been accepted into the Neko's tribe but for how long would that last? He still had yet transformed into his cat form so he wasn't sure what exactly that part of him looked like but he had become so use to being human, walking without his ears and tail in sight that it was like if he moved around with them showing he would become a different person.. He sighed and ran his a hand through his blonde hair and ruffled it.. Would he get use to this life? Would he eventually accept what he was and treat it as second nature?
Now he sat alone in the middle of a neutral ground he had stumbled upon a beautiful glowing stream.. His legs were crossed and his hands were set on the ground and he leaned back onto them. His eyes were shut but he listened closely to the sounds around him.. The birds, the frogs, the crickets and... wait.. Something wasn't right. Opening his eyes he looked around until they came to a stop on the wolf.. Frowning he shifted till he was able to get a good look at it.. A beautiful creature that one was.. Was it a Lycan? or was he just a normal wolf that you see all the time?

His eyes were half closed as the sounds of chirping crickets and croaking frogs sounded in his ears. With a large yawn he sat back up, it was then that he caught sight of what looked to be a human. His bi colored eyes trained on the being. His ears swiveled on top of his head, deciding to either chase the being away or leave it be since it was across the river. An idea came to the lycan’s head. Standing he glanced at the form across the river once more and then slipped into the woods where he knew he couldn’t be seen. Trekking along the river side he went a bit further down and crossed a narrower part of the waters. Slinking up the river side again and then up behind what he thought to be human, but know he was unsure as the beings scent hit his nostrils. Standing behind what he now knew to be a Neko, he spoke,”kind of far from home aren’t you?” His voice was low and rough, but not threatening. He looked over the Neko’s head and to the river,”beautiful isn’t it?” He waited in silence for the Neko to speak up.

Jeremy's eyes never left the wolf, well that was until he blinked and the wolf was gone! A frowned danced over his pale lips as he leaned forwards, placing his hands down against the slippery surface. His brown eyes scanned the area where the wolf had been.. Where did it go? he wondered. Chewing his lower lip a bit nervously, he began to sit back when he heard the voice. Eyes going wide he gave a slight jolt and nearly slipped into the water but slammed his elbows down onto the rock before he was able to slip off. Sigh in relief he looked up at the wolf that had just been down on the other side of the stream. His chest heaved and he was silent for a moment, almost as if he forgot how to speak but then, swallowing hard he pushed himself up and sat up straight looking straight into the beast's eyes.
It was only then that he began to talk in a rather quiet tone.. "Far from home..?" he echoed the three words before a smile played on his face and he shook his head furiously. "Nope, I am not.. For I am at home where ever I feel most comfortable. " he said with a spark in his eyes as he watched the wolf closely before turning his head to look over the stream. Nodding he spoke again, his voice more sure this time. "It is quite beautiful." he answered NOTES ; N/A

Tagged jeremy | 205 words | Speaking - Thinking Adonis looked to the Neko that sat before him on the bank. His ears standing at attention on top of his head. The river of colors ran at a steady pace, it was peaceful. The crickets played their nightly songs while the frogs added a beat to it with their croaks. This could be his new happy place. The little Neko said that he wasn’t far from home, but Adonis thought he knew of a Neko clan around here somewhere. Although he wasn’t really sure where it was. Shaking his head Adonis stood up and walked to the edge of the water. Dipping his head he took a drink. Looking back to the male he spoke,”so you’re a traveler then huh? You move from place to place?” He sat down beside the Neko and looked to him. “Where all have you traveled”,he asked the man beside him. Shaking his head Adonis chuckled deeply,”also forgive me, my name is Adonis. I am the Overseer of the pack that I am in. What’s your name traveler?” He sat quietly as he waited for the man's name.

Jeremy drew in a sharp breath as he watched the wolf. It was odd for a Neko and a lycan to get along, let alone speak to one another.. He may have been someone that didn't mingle with his own kind until now but he still knew that much.. His gaze seemed to soften and he smiled a bit. He didn't care if it was against some sort of rule or whatever, he just enjoyed talking to others.
Tilting his head he looked directly at the other before ruffling his hair and grinning a goofy grin. "Well, It's a pleasure to meet you Adonis.. My name is Jeremy, I just joined the Neko clan not to long ago..." he murmured and let his gaze drop almost as if he were embarrassed "So, no.. I'm not a traveler anymore.." he said with a shrug beforelooking up again. "I was born in Korea but I've traveled to Germany and Scotland.." the Neko said with a dreamy look.. "Then I came here, I didn't plan on staying long but something about this place seemed to make me want to stay and so I did and began to explore it and that's when I found the Neko's village." he said with a gesture in the direction of his new home.
"What about you? Have you been any places?"

Tagged jeremy | 256 words | Speaking - Thinking Adonis knew it was against the natural order of things for a Lycian and a Neko to be in the same proximity and not with to kill one another. Although tonight would be an exception, a night of calmness and relaxation. The Neko explained that his name was Jeremy, the black wolf dipped his head in a polite acknowledgment of his name. Funny, the Neko had just joined a clan while Adonis had just joined his new pack. Adonis chuckled,”well, that makes two of us that won’t roam anymore. I just recently joined the Lycian pack here.” Adonis listened as Jeremy proclaimed to be from across the ocean. He would have thought that the Neko would have been more keen to stay with his own in Korea, but then again he too had left his own back in his hometown. His thoughts traveling back to his brother and uncle he missed them, but not enough to return. He had found a new place to call home, a place to stay. He had already gotten a job here and now a new title of Overseer in the pack. He now had a purpose to fulfill. Adonis’s thoughts race back to the present time, slightly shaking his head clear. “Well I haven’t been to many places”,he took a deep breath,”I mostly traveled here in the states. Finally settling here.” He smiled at the thought of his new life here.

Jeremy looked down and rubbed his arms. "Is that so?" he asked, looking solemn for a moment as he thought about the words, 'makes two of use that won't roam again' and the thought made him, sick? he furrowed his brows and inwardly chided himself for already feeling like this. He loved being around others but then again hated it, he only liked to be around others to make them smile or laugh and with his experience with the girl who let him join, who confronted him at the gate of the Neko's clan, it would be hard to.. She didn't smile very genuinely and seemed to be in a rush and that made him all the more lonesome. Squeezing his eyes shut for a moment, he remained quiet before looking up and grinning widely at the wolf.
"That's funny." he mused softly as he stretched his legs out in front of him and tilted his head. "How funny the two of us have recently joined a group.." he said, his voice laced with slight excitement before he let his smile fall just a bit. "What makes you come out here? isn't this ways away from Lycan territory? To be honest it is some ways from Neko territory.. But I was sure that I wouldn't run into anyone." he said as he watched Adonis closely. He figured if he kept talking he wouldn't think such dreadful things about his clan already, he hadn't yet spoken to the clan's King - maybe that would go over a little better then when he met the girl. Right?

Tagged jeremy | 216 words | Speaking - Thinking Adonis was usually more talkative than what he had been, but something about this river just made him relax and calm. When his company spoke up the wolf turned his head to look at Jeremy, he spoke of how funny it was the two were alike in traveling and now they had both settled into a new clan. Adonis was asked why he had come out here, honestly he didn’t really know. He was just walking and ended up here. A chuckle rose from his throat,”always be prepared to meet people. For they are everywhere. Even in places you’d least expect it.” Adonis shrugged. “I honestly have no idea why I am here I was just trekking the land. Maybe Fate wanted to make new friends for us both. I was just walking along and stumbled upon this hidden treasure, to be honest. Why are you so far away from Nekomata territory”,his voice rang with the curiosity of his question. Adonis sat for a moment longer and then stood to walk into the river. The colors of it mixing with his fur as it flowed on its way. The water felt great to the skin making the wolf grin.
Seriously sorry for the wait.. <3

The nekomata bit his lip and drew up a hand and ruffled his hair which caused his black cat ears to become exposed. Frowning, he pulled on the tip of one before shrugging his shoulders as he thought about how to respond. "It is possible that we were meant to meet." the male said as he looked up, his ears flattening to his skull. "You can never know where your path will take you be it to a new home or to your death."
Jeremy suddenly grinned and scrambled to his feet and crouched low to the ground, rocking back and forth from his heal to his toe. "Don't you know it is sort of forbidden for a Lycan and a Neko to be friends.. We have always been enemies.." his brown eyes flashed with mischief as he watched his new companion. "What say you and I do become friends?" he asked before resting flat footed on the rock he had be sitting and crossed his arms over his knees and rested his chin on his forearms.
Then the question regarding why he was so far from his own territory. His cheeks deepened in color and he shrugged his shoulders once more. "I am more the adventurous type. Although I love being around others I still have yet to get use to the idea of being around my own kind.." He flicked his ears. "These.." he said "are often hidden and I have become so use to hiding them I often mistake myself for being human instead of an unwanted and some what hated creature." His grin widened and he shifted and moved a hand to his ears once more and pulled on them. "Odd aren't they?" he said with a laugh, his eyes twinkling merrily.
